Due to the extremely cold temperature of dry ice (-78°C) insulated gloves should always be worn. If dry ice comes into direct contact with bare skin it can cause freezer burns.

Dry ice must be identified by a Class 9 label and a UN1845 number. These Worded Dry Ice Labels meet the design and durability standards of 49 CFR, ICAO and other international air regulations.
